Introduction: The Northwest Culinary Academy of Vancouver is a Chef owned and designed culinary school. Based on student feedback and what we know as ex-students, apprentices, professional chefs and experienced chef instructors, we designed our contemporary curriculum from the student's perspective. We offer Professional Chef's training in 3 independent 15 week intensive programs: Culinary, Pastry/Bread and Practicum. Progressive attitude and new restaurant/hotel equipped facilities. All-in-one concept ensuring seamless learning environment; Chef's demonstration station, Chef's table, culinary kitchen and Pastry lab. Cook in groups of 2, change partner weekly. European designed Island cooking configuration ensures that you never face a wall. Fully accredited Chef Instructors, with each minimum of 20 years of broad North American and European experience, 5 as Chef Instructors. Members of the Canadian Culinary Federation and the Restaurant Association, registered with the Private Career Training Institutes Agency of BC. Introduction: Great Chefs are a blend of passion and commitment -- to food, to excellence, and to life-long learning. So is Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts. We prepare culinary professionals for the careers of their lives. Our intense, hands-on programs are delivered under close, demanding supervision from European-trained Chef Instructors. Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts offers two diploma-granting programs. Our programs are designed for students who wish to be immediately productive in a professional environment upon graduation. Our students -- never more than 15 in a class -- receive instruction in the fundamentals of classic French and International cuisine, including nutrition, kitchen efficiency, stocks and knife skills.
