About: The Northwest Culinary Academy of Vancouver is a Chef owned and designed culinary school. Located at the entrance to Granville Island, Vancouver's destination center for restaurants, theaters, galleries and unique artisan studios, Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts offers diploma programs in Baking & Pastry Arts and Culinary Arts. Students train in state-of-the-art commercial kitchens under European-trained Chef Instructors. Small classes and 90 per cent hands-on instruction allow students to master the art of cooking and/or baking. Further training in the Institute's on-site restaurant, bakeshop & cafe and catering division gives students the opportunity to hone their skills, which provides for a smooth transition into the industry. Career planning and resumes writing is included in our curriculum, and over 90 per cent of our graduates find employment in the industry.
